First off, an apology: it’s been a couple (okay, six) weeks since the last edition of Reader Art of the Week. Unacceptable, right? And the fault is mine! Blog reader Mara sent me the cool drawing below almost a month ago. Sorry it’s taken me so long to post. (I know how you guys love your art!)
Without further adieu, feast your eyes on Mara’s drawing:
Cool, huh? Mara informs me her picture is called “Man in the Dark.” In most drawings, the subject of the painting is bold, clear, and up-front. I really like how Mara has flipped it here and made everything but the subject very bold.
