RAotW #83
Leena, Grade 6, sent in this fine piece of poetry titled Summer Day. She said that she was inspired by the weather in her area, since there’s been constant rain and no sunshine.
It’s beautiful, Leena! Great job.
Every day you look out the window,
And find the clouds a stormy grey.
Then one day you see a corner of the grey sheet lift,
And the sun smile your way.
But soon the illusion is gone,
And you wonder if you’ve lost your mind
Because the
Sun won’t come out today,
It seems like forever until the sun will look your way.
But you gotta hang on,
It’s gonna come one day,
And you’ll be prepared,
For a summer day.
Yeah, you’ll be prepared for a summer day.
Thanks for sharing it with us, Leena.
Now, it’s your turn to share your art! Send your poetry, stories, pictures, drawings, and any other creations you’ve made.

That’s awesome, Leena! I really enjoyed reading it 🙂
Vancouver. I know that because a) I’m a genius and b) I’m in her class. I never read that particular poem, though
Congrats Leena – really proud of you!!! xoxo
