RAotW #84
Thanks to Gina for sending in her painting for Reader Art of the Week. We asked Gina some questions about her art.
OWL: What was your inspiration?
Gina: I really like painting but I never tried painting wildlife, so I chose to paint an owl which was partly inspired by my friend who loves owls. It was also inspired by my grandma because she loves owls, too.
OWL: What kind of tools did you use?
Gina: All I used to make this was a few different-sized paintbrushes and acrylic paint.
OWL: Do you have a special place where you paint?
Gina: I have a place with craft supplies and paint, but when I’m painting, I paint almost anywhere.
OWL: Do you have a favourite artist?
Gina: I really like Claude Monet, but I like most artists. I also like Marie Cassatt, Andy Warhol, Francisco Goya, and Leonardo Da Vinci.
The OWL team loves your painting, Gina! Thanks for sharing.

Really pretty. Are we going to have a mailbag soon?
For sure, in June we’ll have a mailbag! If you have any suggestions for questions, send them my way. 🙂
That’s amazing, Gina! You did a fantastic job on this.
