Reverse Mailbag Roundup
I received some awesome answers from our last Reverse Mailbag questions. If you’re new to the blog, in Reverse Mailbag, I ask you questions, compile your answers and then share the results, along with my answers.
So, let’s get started!
1. What’s the best thing that happened to you last week?
Popular Response: There wasn’t a popular response for this one! But I must say, many of you lead very exciting lives: from visiting the National Ballet to attending conferences, to travelling to Florida and Chicago, we have a bunch of go-getters. And some of you enjoyed eating ice cream!
Kim’s Response: Lately, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some OWL readers, and that’s been a lot of fun. It was also great meeting Jeff Smith, the creator and illustrator of Bone.
2. What’s your favourite thing in your refrigerator right now?
Popular Response: Ice cream. Clearly, there’s some ice cream lovers here! Nobody mentioned exactly what flavour. However, Laura was partial to the blueberry yogurt in her fridge!
Kim’s Response: Vanilla pudding and strawberries!
3. If you had to listen to only one song on loop for 24 hours, what would it be?
Popular Response: It was a real mix of song choices for this question. I love how Hannah chose a classic: If You’re Happy and You Know It! Zoe kept us all on edge with her answer: “You don’t want to know.” Actually, we do!
Kim’s Response: Like Laura, I’ve also been listening to “Call Me Maybe” a lot lately. It’s such a happy feel-good song that I haven’t yet got tired of it. It’s difficult to pick one song, though. If we could pick ten songs, that would be a different story. But that’s way too long for a Reverse Mailbag question!
4. Which is cuter: a baby guinea pig or a baby hedgehog?
Popular Response: You guys are full of surprises! I thought that everyone was going to choose a baby guinea pig, but I was wrong! Half of you chose a baby guinea pig, and the other half was prickled pink with hedgehogs.
Kim’s Response: When I was young, I had the cutest stuffed hedgehog ever! It was my favourite stuffed animal in my entire collection, and the fond memories have stuck with me til this day. Therefore, I’m going to break the tie and choose hedgehog.
5. Would you rather go to school wearing a fruit bowl on your head or wearing a cardboard box shaped like a car?
Popular Response: It appears that the fruit bowl has won this battle, but I think “neither” would’ve been the most popular choice. According to Zoe, her school wouldn’t notice her if she wore the cardboard car. This really cracked me up!
Kim’s Response: By far, the cardboard car takes my vote! I would make sure my car had a backseat so that I could fit a friend back there. That would be kind of fun!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to Reverse Mailbag! I can hardly wait for next month’s questions.

Hmm…I never did the reverse mailbag, but I feel the need to answer one question, and that’s #3. My answer is a tie between Awake my Soul by Mumford & Sons, and Your Bones by Of Monsters and Men.
I listen to odd music. 😛 Indie rock/ hippe music. I Gave You All by Mumford & Sons is very indie rock.
Marissa 😛
I’ll have to check these songs out! Thanks for posting, Marissa. 🙂
Cool! I just got back from my school’s Quebec trip which is why I didn’t comment this week 🙂 Don’t worry, I’m not dead!
How was your school trip, Laura?
It was great! We spent 2 days in Quebec City and 2 days in Montreal 🙂
My friends went on a school trip to Quebec last week! :O
Marissa 😛
I live in Quebec. Does anybody speak francais?
Yep! I’m not in French Immersion, but my school has a program that is at the immersion level but we only have French once a day. It’s fun 🙂
No way! There was this Disco Cruise thing with a whole bunch of schools there; maybe they were there!
Marissa: me too! It’s all my parents fault. They raised me on it. I don’t know Mumford and sons but I love monsters and men, especially Little Talks.
