Rock Your School Routine!
Hey readers,
School is back in session and so are morning routines! Sometimes getting back into a routine can be a bit tough. Here are some tips to help make mornings fun and easy!

1) Keep your backpack by the door. Put your stuff in it the night before school.
2) Pick out your clothes the night before so you won’t be rushing around in the morning trying to find matching socks!
3) Get enough sleep. Being rested keeps you in a good mood and helps you concentrate.
4) Do stretches in the morning. Shake off sleepiness by reaching up to the sky, then touching your toes. Keep going until you feel awake.
5) Eat a good breakfast. Food is fuel for your body and it keeps you going all day long.
Follow these tips to help get yourself into the back-to-school rhythm!

I have more routine tips for you.
~ If the night-before you think you know what you would like for breakfast, write or draw it on paper so in the morning you can see it to get it ready, or have a parent help get it ready for you. I do this so I do not have to use up my time trying to decide what I will eat.
~ Double check you have your lunch/snacks and homework before you leave your home. (I have left parts of homework behind by accident before, and it felt bad when I got to school and looked in my bag to see the homework was not all in there.)
**Special tip: The night before school/class photo, find the shoes you want to wear and make sure they are not very dirty and undo any knots in the laces that would make it hard to put them on in the morning.**
Thanks for the great tips, Bridgette! I really love your idea about planning your breakfast. It is such an important meal and sometimes we are so rushed in the morning that we skip it. This is a great way to keep it on your mind!
