Story Time on the Blog!
Hi readers,
This week, we have a wonderful story about a very special hockey puck from chickaDEE reader, Christian Fernandes, 8. You won’t believe what happens at the end! Check it out below!
THE HOCKEY GAME
All of Zavensberg was quiet. The final hockey game of the season was about to start. The TV was turned on in the Jakey Family’s household. They were all waiting for the hockey game to begin. Just then the hockey game started and everyone began cheering — everyone except the puck, Plucky, who was getting hit and smacked all over his face. He was grumblaining (that’s grumbling and complaining at the same time!) about what was happening to him.
So when the hockey game ended, he plopped himself out of the Jakey Family’s TV, ran to the hockey store, and said, “Get me a new body, a new head and a new pair of legs.” The man at the store said, “Sure, hold on! Let me find those products from the back”. Then with a dash, he brought out the products needed to build a brand-new puck. Plucky left with the items he needed. As soon as he built himself back, he plopped back into the Jakey Family’s TV and the next season’s hockey game started. The same thing happened 10 more times!
As a result, Plucky went back to the hockey store and said, “Hey, give me stick-on shields’”. The man at the store said, “Sure!”
So the next time they played hockey and the players hit Plucky, there was a loud “PINGGG!” sound. The players threw their hockey sticks in the air with surprise and said, “What was that?” Even the referees wondered where that sound came form.
All the other pucks heard of Plucky’s idea and began to imitate him. And so the game of hockey had to be officially cancelled because of strange hockey pucks everywhere!
