Today is Drop Everything and Read Day! D.E.A.R. Day is all about spending time with a good book and inspiring others to do the same, even if it’s only for a few minutes.
D.E.A.R. Day was started by author Beverly Cleary after she wrote about it in one of her books. Now, it’s celebrated in the real world every year on April 12, which is her birthday!
Are you going to take part in D.E.A.R. Day? If you are, let us know what you’re reading in the comments below!

What’s your favourite Dr. Suess book? (Mine’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go.) Let me know in the comment below!
Have a great day!
If you live in the Toronto area and are looking for something fun to do this weekend, check out TCAF!
TCAF, which stands for the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, is a great place to see comic book authors and illustrators in person.
Even Owlkids author Brian McLachlan (Draw Out the Story) will be there with some fun comic games just for kids!
Check out the full TCAF schedule by clicking here.
