Hey, bloggers! Meet eleven-year-old Alisha Newton. She’s a young, talented Canadian actress with a new role on the CBC show Heartland as the character Georgie. Check it out:
Recently, we got a chance to ask Alisha some questions about being an actress.
OWL: What’s the most difficult part of your job?
A: Watching myself on TV and the monitors on set. It’s so embarrassing.
OWL: How do you manage school with your filming schedule?
A: I have a tutor on set that teaches me everything that is being taught in the class at home. On the days that I’m at home, I attend public school.
OWL: Who’s your favourite actor and actress?
A: Adam Sandler and Dakota Fanning.
OWL: Besides acting, what other jobs interest you?
A: When I grow up, I definitely want to work with animals. I would like to be a Dog Whisperer like Cesar Millan.
OWL: What’s your advice for kids wanting to get into this type of career?
A: Always work hard, believe in yourself, and never give up!
Awesome advice! We also love that Alisha is an animal lover, just like all of us here at OWL. In fact, she also told us that her favourite section of the magazine is Animal of the Month. We wonder what she thought of all the creepy creatures in the October issue…
