Create Your Own Garden!
Hi readers,
Have a green thumb? Interested in starting your own small garden? Taking care of indoor plants can be a great way to learn about nature and nourish living things. Here are some important facts to know before picking up your first green friend!
Succulents (say: SUH-kyuh-lunts)
These little fellas are adorable to keep on your windowsill! Succulents need ample light and watering after their soil is completely dry. Try to use a pot that has a hole in the bottom and a dish it can sit on so excess water can drain out.
Jade Plant
These plump beauties are a popular choice for the indoors! Jade plants are a part of the succulent family and need lots of sunlight and water after they’ve dried out. Be careful though! These plants are not safe for cats and dogs if consumed.
Peperomia (say: peh-pr-OW-mee-uh)
These plants range in shape, texture, and colour and stay small enough to fit on your windowsill or desk! Though it likes lots of sunlight, this plant can handle low-light settings and decently dry soil. Even better? They’re safe for your furry friends to be around!
Making an indoor garden is a great way to learn and grow. And there are so many types of houseplants to choose from! What plants do you like best? Leave a comment below!
