Fruity Fun!

Hey readers,

If you’re craving something sweet, check out this fun and easy tropical treat!

*Be sure to ask an adult for help to slice the fruit.

You’ll need:

• Kiwi
• Orange
• Banana
• Plate

What to do:

• Arrange sliced kiwi like leaves on the top half of your plate.
• Place sliced banana down the middle to create your tree trunk.
• Decorate the bottom of the plate with orange wedges to create a beach!

Cool Canada Smoothie Recipe

Try making this yummy smoothie recipe from Owlkids intern Sarah this weekend!

Hi readers,

Did you know that a lot of maple syrup is made in Canada? Maple syrup is sticky, sweet and delicious. Celebrate Canada by making this maple syrup smoothie!

*Remember to ask an adult for help!

Ingredients:

• 2 cups plain yogurt
• 2 tbsp milk
• 2 tbsp maple syrup
• 1 cup ice

Instructions:

1. Put the yogurt, milk, maple syrup and ice in a blender.
2. Blend and serve!

This smoothie will definitely have you singing O Canada!
