Movie News: Maidentrip

Almost four years ago, we published an article about Laura Dekker, a Dutch teenager who dreamed of becoming the youngest person to sail around the world solo.

Laura’s story made international headlines when the Dutch government attempted to put a stop to her trip, arguing that she was too young to make the around-the-world journey on her own. However, Laura and her family fought against the courts, and in the end, she was allowed to set out on her sailing adventure!

Last week, a documentary about her two-year-long, 43,450-kilometre (27,000-mile), record-breaking trip, was released. It’s called Maidentrip. Check out the trailer.
