Meet a Lion

Hi readers,

We’re going on an African safari adventure in the September issue of Chirp. One of my favourite African animals is the lion. Here are some cool lion facts I learned while making this issue:

• Lions spend 20 hours a day resting
• Lions live in groups called “prides”
• A lion’s roar can be heard from 8km away
• Female lions do most of the hunting for the pride
• Lions can see in the dark six times better than humans
