Movie Review: Captain America: Civil War

Hey readers,

There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the final movie in the Captain America trilogy. I got to see it a few days early (lucky me!), and let me tell you: it totally earned all that hype. Captain America: Civil War is awesome.

The plot for this movie is simple: Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, wants to protect his old friend, Bucky Barnes, from the governments that want to capture him. But it’s not just the governments that are after Bucky… it’s the other Avengers, too. So Cap is forced to face off against his former besties—and what a face-off it is! Want to know who’d win an all-out brawl between Captain America and Iron Man? This is your film!

This movie is basically fight scene after fight scene, but it’s not just the Avengers fighting the Bad Guy of the Month. It’s them fighting their friends, which is a whole lot more interesting. Check out the trailer below to see what I mean:

Movie News: Avengers: Age of Ultron

The Avengers have assembled once again in Avengers: Age of Ultron! The dream team of superheroes are back, but this time they aren’t fighting aliens, they have to stop a monster of their own creation.
Tony Stark meant to do a good thing when he created a peacekeeping initiative, but the artificial intelligent named Ultron had ideas of his own. Now Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man and Hawkeye will have to fight together to save earth.

This movie is a ton of fun from the first “Kaboom!” With tons of action and funny jokes, it’s exactly what you want from a superhero movie. This movie already has me looking forward to the next one!

Avengers: Age of Ultron is in theatres today.

Movie News: Guardians of the Galaxy

Hey readers,

There is a new team of superheroes on the loose called the Guardians of the Galaxy.

With a movie opening today, the Guardians have inspired a whole group of fans to create awesome projects, like LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy!

I had a chance to check out the movie this week. It has a lot of laughs and even more action.

Peter Quill is a space traveller who makes his living by stealing and selling priceless objects. His next job has him taking an orb that is much more powerful than anyone can imagine, which means it can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Quill, a.k.a. Starlord, teams up with unlikely friends in order to keep the orb safe.

The movie didn’t have any LEGO mini-figures, but it did feature an awesome cassette tape player and a Troll doll. Not to mention, all the superheroes of course.

A word of warning: This movie has some adult language, so it may be for older OWL readers only.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is in theatres today.  Make sure to stick around for the credits to see a super funny scene, too!
