Reach for the Stars!
Hi readers,
Today is National Astronauts Day!
What’s that you ask? Well, National Astronauts Day was created on May 5th, 1961, when Alan Shepard Jr. became the first American in space. Since then, it has become a day that inspires people to reach for the stars and follow their dreams.
To celebrate, you can:
- Visit a science museum.
- Read books about astronauts or space.
- Check out NASA’s website to see what they’ve been up to.
- Go on a mission to explore your own universe in the great outdoors.
- Watch some space documentaries, or listen to a space-themed podcast.
Don’t forget to check out the Science Odyssey Family Contest! To enter, do three scientific activities as a family for a chance to WIN some amazing HEXBUG, VEX Robotics, and Owlkids prizes. Click HERE for more information.
Happy National Astronauts Day!
