In the October issue of OWL, there is a quiz titled “What Rhythm Runs You?”
There was an error in this quiz and we’re thankful to those who took the time to let us know! We have since corrected the quiz and included the REAL version below.

Our friends at the kidsmediacentre at Centennial College were on a trip of a lifetime last week in northern Ontario.

The project, called “My Life in 20 Pictures,” was launched in hopes to understand the life perspective of First Nation’s children in Grassy Narrows, Ontario. The kidsmediacentre and Centennial College Journalism students and faculty were teaching students in grade 4, 7, and 8 how to document their life through photography.
Not only are the kids learning about how to write an essay, but many kids have never used a camera before. With a generous donation from Henry’s Camera, the kids were all provided a camera to put together their essays. They are going to answer questions like: what’s the best part of their day? Who are their role models? And what’s it like to live in Grassy Narrows? The kids have grown up in a community that has had to fight for their treaty rights so we’re looking forward to seeing their life perspectives.
If you want to check out more about the program and see their essays in the upcoming weeks, check out the kidsmediacentre site here.
If you had to document your life in 20 pictures, what kind of pictures would you include?
