International Day of Forests celebrates trees around the world. It’s also a day to be thankful for everything forests bring into our lives. Trees help keep the air, water, soil and even our bodies healthy! They also play a role in making paper, medicine and our homes.
To celebrate, here are some fun and easy things you can do this week:
- Get crafty! Find a leaf, put it under a piece of paper, and lightly colour the page with crayon. The result? Beautiful leaf art!
- Take a trip to a local or national park. Bring a notebook to record the different types of trees.
- Play outside! Explore and enjoy nature with your pals.
Have a great day!
