Movie review: Rio 2

Hi readers,

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the new movie, Rio 2 earlier this week. I really loved the first Rio, so I was super-excited when I found out a sequel was coming out!

Join Blue, Jewel and their three adorable kids on a fun-filled adventure through the Amazon rainforest!

Blue is weary of leaving the comforts of home in the city of Rio, and learns that it truly is a jungle out there when the family arrives in the rainforest. But after meeting Jewel’s father, Blue finds out that foraging for nuts and avoiding predators aren’t going to be his only challenge!

Can Blue prove to his father-in-law, his family and himself that he can fit in to this scary and mysterious place? You’ll have to check out this flick to find out!

Here’s what I liked most about this movie:

• The 3D effects were amazing. I’ve never been to the Amazon, but seeing this movie made me feel like I was right there.
• The tunes are catchy! Bruno Mars not only lends his voice to the suave bird, Roberto, he also supplies some of the fantastic music in the film!
• Adventure is around every corner! I like a bit of suspense in a movie, and this one definitely has it. See what happens when Blue goes beak-to-beak with evil villain, Nigel.

Rio 2 opens in 3D in theatres today! If you do see this movie, I hope you enjoy it.
