Telling Tales Festival

If you live near Rockton, Ontario, you should check out the historic Westfield Heritage Village on Sunday for the Telling Tales Festival. You’ll get to meet tons of amazingly talented Canadian authors, illustrators, storytellers and musicians. Bring along your copy of See You Next Year, because Andrew Larsen will be there to sign it!

There will be music and games, as well as the chance to take photos with some of your favourite book characters, including Anne of Green Gables, Alice in Wonderland and Tinkerbell. Click here for more information. There’s lots to do at this amazing storytelling celebration!

As summer starts winding down and you start thinking about school, I highly recommend reading See You Next Year by Andrew Larsen and Todd Stewart. This picture book is about a girl who goes to the same summer vacation spot with her family every year. It’s the kind of vacation where nothing around you ever changes, but the days are still filled with little adventures. One day, something does change, and the change leads to some pretty special memories.
