Summer Snow Cone Recipe!
Hi readers,
Wow, it sure is hot out there. Tomorrow is going to be 38°C (100°F) in Toronto!
I think this hot weather calls for a cool recipe to help you guys beat the heat.
Here’s an icy treat from our Summer 2010 issue. (Remember to ask your parents to help you before you start.)
SUMMER SNOW CONE
You’ll need:
– 125 mL (1/2 cup) ice
– 125 mL (1/2 cup) chopped fruit
– 125 mL (1/2 cup) water
– blender
– cone or cup
What to do:
1. Put ice cubes in blender. Blend ice into small pieces. Set aside in a bowl.
2. Put the fruit and water in a blender. Blend for a few seconds.
3. Stir in the blended ice.
4. Freeze your mixture for at least one hour. Scoop some into a cone or a cup and dig in!
Mmmm, yummy! I think I’ll make one after I finish this post.
