There is nothing better than family reading in fort, a tent, or under a tree at a park. If you are looking for some great books to read to kickstart this sunny season, check out some of the titles below!

For kids 3-6:
Journey of the Midnight Sun by Shazia Afzal (Orca) – Based on a true story, this picture book follows the exciting and harrowing 4,000 km journey of a group delivering a mosque to a town in the Canadian Arctic.
Biindigen! Amik Says Welcome: by Nancy Cooper (Owlkids) – This adorable picture book incorporates Anishinaabe words in the text, has a search and find element, and teaches readers how beavers help their surrounding ecosystems.
