It’s time for “Get to Know An Author!” on the blog! This month, we’re getting to know Ashley Spires, the author of chickaDEE’s fiction series The Space Chronicles. We asked her to finish 10 sentences for us. Here are her answers:

1. The first thing I do when I wake up is cuddle my dog and cats who are always hogging the bed.
2. My favourite way to eat eggs is in a chocolate chip cookie.
3. I have a funny habit of mixing up my left and right. With me, it’s best to just point.
4. My pet’s names are Gordon, Gracie, Penny and Fran.
5. My nickname is Ash, but only my close relatives call me that.
6. I have visited at least 21 different cities. My favourite is my home, Vancouver. And Seattle. And New York! Huh, maybe I don’t have a favourite…
7. My hero is my cat Fran. She is so relaxed and powerful, I’d love to be like her.
8. My hidden talent is my impression of the mice from Disney’s Cinderella.
9. When I look outside my window, I see trees, birds, lots of green and the occasional raccoon.
10. The last thing I do before I fall asleep is read and cuddle those bed hogging pets of mine.
