Hey readers,
Did you love reading about the walrus in the November issue of Chickadee? These mammals are one of my favourite creatures – not only are they adorable, they’re also very powerful! These animals use their powerful bodies to swim and to move around on land.
Want to learn more about walruses?
Check out the video below for some extra facts!

Hey there readers,
It’s National Hippo Day!
To celebrate, here’s a very cute video of hippos having fun.
Did you know Hippo’s are the third largest mammals in the world? They’re also herbivores which means they only eat plants.
Hippo’s are awesome swimmers and can hold their breath underwater for up to five minutes. Amazing!
Happy Hippo Day!

Hi readers,
I hope that you’re enjoying the June 2017 “All about Canada” issue of Chirp Magazine. Our Amazing Animal this month is the beaver. This cute critter is such a Canadian icon, it’s even on our nickel!
Check out the video below to watch this adorable animal chow down on some grapes. YUM!
I love the way he holds the grapes in his little claws.
