A Visit to an Apple Farm!
Hi, readers!
Today we have two special guests on the blog. Chickadee readers, Claire, 7, and Ella, 4.5, visited an apple farm and wrote about their experience. Read on for more!
Hello! I’m Claire (in the pink and grey coat) and this is my sister, Ella. Last weekend, we visited Chudleigh’s, an apple farm in Milton, Ontario. Come along to see all the fun things we did!
Here I am jumping on a bunch of hay bales. It’s also a huge hay maze!
Then we walked the nature trail and found these amazing rope swings. It was so much fun!
Now it’s time for apple picking! Ella picked an Empire apple. Did you know that Empire apples are great for making pies and apple sauce? Yummy!
I picked a Honeycrisp apple. It’s so big! These are the most popular apples on the farm. People love them because they are sweet and tasty.
After we were done picking apples, we visited the farm animals. Then I got to ride on a pony through the orchard. His name is Mick.
Ella and I had a great time at Chudleigh’s. We learned so much about apples! Bye for now!
Thanks for telling us about your visit to the apple farm, Claire! Looks like you and Ella had lots of fun.
Have you gone apple picking with your family this year? Leave a comment below!
