We Day

Hey readers,

Have you heard about We Day? It’s a huge educational event put on by Free the Children. All of the attendees have participated in We Act: a school program that encourages students to take action on at least one local and one global issue.

Friday is We Day in Toronto with awesome speakers and performers like Jennifer Hudson, Nelly Furtado, Al Gore, and more. Around 20,000 students in Grade 7 and up are expected to come together at the Air Canada Centre to learn, participate, and celebrate.

We Days are happening all across Canada too, with stops in Vancouver, Montreal, Waterloo, Calgary, and Halifax.

The OWL Magazine team will be at We Day Toronto talking to kids and hearing about how they have helped others.
