Hey blog readers. Welcome to [insert your grade here]! I hope your first day back at school was excellent, that you love your schedule, teachers, etc., and that you couldn’t be more fired up for the year. I’m fired up for you!
In recognition of this momentous occasion, I give you a cool YouTube clip that relates to something we were talking about last week: e-waste! It seems the decision makers in Toronto are making it easy to recycle all of our electronic stuff (and that they’re pretty funny, too).

Cool, huh? Who knew public service announcements (PSAs, for short) could be so hilarious?
Anyway, as Elin Kelsey says in Not Your Typical Book About the Environment, electronic devices contain toxic chemicals such as cadmium and mercury. She goes on to say, “You don’t have to worry about them when they’re safely doing their jobs inside your computer or MP3 player, but if they get loose in the dump — watch out!”
Those chemicals can hang around long enough to affect the health of your
great-great-great-great-great grandchildren (!), so disposing of them properly is super-important. Nice one, Toronto!

I started Grade 9 today.
I think all my classes and teachers are going to be great.
Exept for gym, which I think is only going to be only OK. Passable. I’m looking forward to when Phys Ed is over. Yay! I only have it half the year!
I started on thursday last week
and in grade 8
nothing new really
but we get to go on a over night hiking trip that the grade
7es don’t get to come on. 🙂
What do you mean first day! I live in Quebec! Hello? I STARTED LAST MONDAY!!!!! Yeah, thats right. THIS IS MY 6TH DAY!! 🙁 But my FIRST day was awesome. Great teachers and good people in my grade 5-6 class. (Im in grade 5 but half the class is grade 6)
P.S. Lucky Ontario-ins and other people in Canada besides Quebec!

I started August 26th. I am in Grade 6. I just started band this year and am playing flute. I suck so far though. :….(

I’ve started grade 8 and I think it’s gonna be alright. I wonder what high school is gonna be like. I hope it’s easy (yah, right!). I’m going to enjoy being in 8th grade while I can, though. I started on Tuesday.
