Wow Shot: The Movie
Happy back-to-school day everyone! I’ve got a cool video to help you jump-start your week.
If you check out the “Wow Shot” in the September issue of OWL, you’ll see two awesome photos of a man flying through the air wearing only a set of wings. In the article, we told you the man’s name is Yves Rossy. What we didn’t tell you is that Yves made the jet-powered wings himself.

i’m having a odd first day of school, seeing as i’m home schooled. YAY!!!! today is my first day of 8th grade, today i’m just focusing on math. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i HATE math!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who doesn’t? right now i’m having a break. and lunch.
My school does not start untill 11:25, (at least for today) because of orientation. Mr. Rossy probably has a math, science, and physics degree. Either that, or he really knows his electronics. Plus he probably has lessons in skydiving or parehooting. Sorry about any spelling mistakes, its not my best subject. Niether is math for that matter. My best is language.
Today was my first day of Grade Seven. I’m in a 7/8 class. It was a good day. It was kind of fun, and it went by super super super super super fast!
Today was a great first day, but a little hectic! All the boys in my class were going crazy!
Katie: i HATE spelling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my best subjects are geography and history. out of curiosity, what are your guyses favorite periods in history? mine are the middle ages and ancient Egypt. i like hearing about the different Egyptian gods and goddesses and there way of life. and i just like imagining myself in the middle ages. and the pioneer times two, it’s fun pretending to be a farm girl in a small town and that sort of stuff. 🙂

Sinead, I agree with you about the ancient civilidsations, too. I like acient China and Japan too, but it sounded like it was really torturing, scary and brutal.

I liked the paleozoic period, with all its cool animals. My first piece of homework was bring a picture of you with your fave canadian landmark. Mine is with the bee in Tisdale. What was your guyses first homeworks?( bad grammer, ha,ha!)

Hi Hailey. That’s weird… when I go on the site it doesn’t make me enter personal info. Sorry about that! Anyway, you’ve inspired me to add a new link for you to check out: it’s called Poptropica. It’s totally fun, there’s lots to do, and you don’t need to give out personal info! Awesome.
